Fabric Identities was the third full-length Perlin Noise album. It marked the full transition of Perlin Noise from a solo bedroom project to a performing six-piece rock band. All band members performed on all songs, which at the time of recording consisted of me on vocals and guitar, Tom Lessig on guitar, Nate Getchell on bass, Brooke Witherite on keys, Jonny Perez on drums, and Toria Ziegler on vocals and guitar.
This was the first album recorded in the home studio I built in my basement in fall 2021. We had several guest musicians, including three horn players and a theramin player. All songs were performed live many times before recording them.
It was recorded and mixed entirely in my basement studio in Philadelphia, PA, using a mix of analog equipment and digital editing tools.
