Nobody Watches Me - Perlin Noise EP

...

Date: Summer 2017-Fall 2018
Skills Used: Songwriting, Guitar, Vocals, Bass, Keys, Synth, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Drum Programming

Nobody Watches Me was my first Perlin Noise project. It was a way to learn the Studio One music production software and to try to take my comedy songwriting more seriously. It's an EP completely of my own conception - I played every instrument and mixed it myself without any outside involvement - and although the amateur nature shows, I'm very proud of what I created and what it led to.

The EP is a collection of surfy-punky-classic rock inspired songs about social media being really weird and uncomfortable.

My primary focus was in showing off my guitar and bass playing, but I also sang and recorded synths, keys, and drums. The EP was recorded and mixed entirely in my childhood bedroom in Springfield, PA using very limited recording equipment.

You can stream Nobody Watches Me on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, and anywhere else that streams music!
